Harbour Connections: Helsinki

merenneito ratikka

Eckerö Line's m/s Finlandia departs from West Harbour located in Jätkäsaari district in Helsinki. The terminal is West Terminal 2, address: Tyynenmerenkatu 14. Traffic connections are good no matter where your journey begins.

A convenient way to reach West Terminal 2 is the tram 7. It's route goes from Pasila via Hakaniemi and Helsinki Centre. The route of tram 7 offers many chances to change. Also tram 6T operates to the West Terminal 2, not at all times though.

Arriving by public transportation

By Train: Tram 7 operates from Pasila train station where all the trains stop including the long term trains. Alternatively continue to the Helsinki Central railway station and jump to the tram 7 at the stop located straight outside the station's main entrance at Kaivokatu street.

By Bus: Tram 7 goes via Central railway station and Kamppi center, where many bus lines have their final stop. Some of the long term bus lines also operate directly to West Harbour. From Turku (bus company Vainion Liikenne) and from Tampere (bus company Paunu) there are direct connections to each departure of m/s Finlandia.

By Metro: changing to tram 7 for example on Kamppi, Central railway station or Hakaniemi metro stations. There is no direct connection from Ruoholahti metro station and the walking distance to terminal is about 1,3 km.

Arriving by own car

Main Helsinki approaches have signs to West Harbour. On the harbour area there's a long term parking area, as well as a short term area near the terminal. See the links on the page for more information about parking. It is also possible to park the car onboard m/s Finlandia on a special six hours mini cruise. The vehicle must be booked beforehand within the travel booking.
