Eckerö Line's m/s Finlandia departs from West Harbour located in Jätkäsaari district in Helsinki. The terminal is West Terminal 2 and address Tyynenmerenkatu 14. Traffic connections are good no matter where your journey begins.

NOTE! From April 7 to May 10, 2026, only tram line 9T will operate to Länsisatama due to the bridge renovation in Jätkäsaari. The trams will be rerouted via Ruoholahti and over the Crusell Bridge until the renovation is completed. More information is available on HSL’s website.

Arriving by public transportation

By Train: If you arrive in Helsinki by long-distance or commuter train, get off at the final stop, Helsinki Central Railway Station. From the main entrance on Kaivokatu, you can easily catch a tram.

From April 7 to May 10, 2026, only tram line 9T operates to Länsiterminaali 2. At other times, tram lines 7 and 9 serve the terminal. On Saturdays and Sundays, tram line 1T also runs from the Lasipalatsi stop to Länsiterminaali.

By Bus: From April 7 to May 10, 2026, only tram line 9T operates to the terminal. It runs via Rautatientori and Kamppi.

At other times, tram lines 7 and 9 serve the terminal; their routes also pass through Rautatientori and the Kamppi Centre, where many bus lines have their terminus stops.

If you are arriving by bus from the Länsiväylä direction, you can already transfer to the tram at the Ruoholahden villat stop.

By Metro: From April 7 to May 10, 2026, only tram line 9T operates to the terminal; you can transfer to it at Rautatientori and Kamppi stations.

At other times, you can transfer to tram lines 7 and 9, for example at Kamppi, Rautatientori, and Hakaniemi stations. On Saturdays and Sundays, tram line 8T runs from Ruoholahti metro station to the terminal.

The walking distance from Ruoholahti to the terminal is approximately 1.3 km.

Arriving by own car

Main Helsinki approaches have signs to West Harbour. The Satamaparkki multi-storey carpark serves passengers. It´s address is Länsisatamankatu 45. It is recommended to book your parking in advance during busy seasons.

A short term area is found near the terminal. See the links on the page for more information about parking. It is also possible to park the car onboard MS Finlandia on a special six hours mini cruise. The vehicle must be booked beforehand within the travel booking.

Renting a car in West Terminal

You can easily rent a car directly at the Hertz self-service station in West Terminal 2. By renting a car at the terminal, you can get up to a 10% discount on the car rental prices on the Hertz website.

There is a Hertz automated key kiosk in the West Terminal 2 departure hall, where you retrieve your rental car key with a pin code.
The car is parked near the main door in a parking lot with Hertz signs. You can also return the rental car at the port by parking it in a parking lot with Hertz signs and returning the keys to the Hertz automated key kiosk.

At the service station in the port, you can also take advantage of Hertz corporate rates as well as other discounts and special offers. In that case make a reservation through the Hertz website at www.hertz.fi.
